PM-YUVA Yojana (Pradhan Mantri Yuva Udyamita Vikas Abhiyan) is a flagship scheme of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India aims to promote entrepreneurship education, capacity building and provide mentoring and hand holding support to potential and aspiring entrepreneurs.PM-YUVA Yojana(Pradhan Mantri Yuva Udyamita Vikas Abhiyan) aims to create an enabling ecosystem for Entrepreneurship Development through entrepreneurship education and training across the country in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs)/National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs), Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra Training Centres (PMKKs), Polytechnics, Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS). Focus will also be on entrepreneurship promotion and social entrepreneurship.Under the scheme a Pilot project was initiated in November 2019. The project is being implemented in 10 states and 2 Union Territories: Assam, Bihar, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Kerala, Maharashtra, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The Institutes were selected from the skilling ecosystem of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship i.e, Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), Polytechnics, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras (PMKKs), and Jan Shiskshan Sansthan (JSS).
Accelerate job creation by providing end to end entrepreneurship education, handholding and mentoring support to potential and existing entrepreneurs who aspire to start or scale-up their existing enterprises.
To promote entrepreneurship as an alternate career choice and enable sustained long-term mentoring support through the journey to potential and early stage entrepreneurs.
